From Ingestion to Ontology

Add value using Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence

We’re kicking off our Training Day announcements for Data Platform Next Step 2026 with a deep dive into Streaming Data with Microsoft Fabric.

This full-day, hands-on workshop is designed for data engineers who want to move beyond raw events and deliver governed, actionable, real-time insights using Microsoft Fabric.

You’ll work end-to-end with:

  • Eventstream ingestion from multiple real-time sources (IoT, telemetry, live feeds)
  • Schema normalization, enrichment, and handling late or duplicate events
  • KQL fundamentals in Eventhouse, structured using the medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold)
  • Materialized views for low-latency analytics and cost-efficient dashboards
  • Real-Time dashboards, Activators, and automated actions
  • Geospatial analytics with Fabric Map
  • Natural-language exploration with Fabric Data Agent
  • Domain modeling with Fabric Ontology and graph-based queries

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a reference implementation, reusable patterns, and practical guidance for building reliable, production-ready real-time solutions in Fabric.
